WHILE Interior Minister Prokopis Pavlopoulos put a positive spin on what he saw as ruling New Democracy’s achievements in integrating immigrants, critics lambasted the government’s efforts as an utter disappointment.
“The government has done absolutely nothing in terms of integrating the hundreds of thousands of immigrants living, working and paying taxes in Greece,” said Yiorgos Alevizakis, general secretary of the General Confederation of Workers in Greece (GSEE). “It’s just a bunch of hot air.”
