My great blogging buddy and friend, Teacher Dude, has posted some very sad news on his blog. His mother has just died, very suddenly on Saturday. He has had to make the one journey back to England that I think all “us foreigners” dread. Although I have never met TD, he has been a constant blog companion and a huge support to me. I am also inspired by his incredible photography and his dedication to the real meaning of “citizen journalism”.

Please keep him in your thoughts and, if you would like to, leave condolences on his blog. Although words are never enough at times like this, I believe knowing that people are thinking of you can be a small comfort…

My sincere condolences for TD and his family.

Thanks DD for writing this. There are no easy ways to get round such a shock, no short cuts when it comes to grief, however, knowing that people are out there who care really helps.
