ΕΛΛΗΝΕΣ ΜΠΛΟΓΚΕΡ ΕΝΑΝΤΙΟΝ ΤΩΝ ΔΙΑΚΡΙΣΕΩΝ
Στην Ελλάδα οι γκέι, οι λεσβίες και οι τρανσέξουαλ γνωρίζουν από διακρίσεις. Τις αντιμετωπίζουν καθημερινά στην οικογένεια, την κοινωνική ζωή και τον επαγγελματικό στίβο.
Καμιά φορά όμως φτάνει μια σταγόνα για να ξεχειλίσει το ποτήρι.
Σύμφωνα με δημοσιεύματα του τύπου το Υπουργείο Δικαιοσύνης ετοιμάζεται να καθιερώσει ένα “συμβόλαιο συμβίωσης” ΑΠΟΚΛΕΙΣΤΙΚΑ για τα ετερόφυλα ζευγάρια. Δεν θεωρούμε ότι ένα απλό “συμβόλαιο” μπορεί να λύσει τα ζητήματα των ζευγαριών ίδιου φύλου, ούτε να εξασφαλίσει την ισότιμη μεταχείρισή τους. Πιστεύουμε όμως ότι η προτεινόμενη διάκριση είναι κατάφωρα αντίθετη τόσο με το ελληνικό Σύνταγμα όσο και με τις ευρωπαϊκές συνθήκες για τα δικαιώματα του ανθρώπου. Πόσο μάλλον όταν 18 ευρωπαϊκές χώρες ήδη παρέχουν νομική κατοχύρωση στα ζευγάρια ίδιου φύλου.
Σκοπός αυτής της πρωτοβουλίας είναι να ενημερωθούν σχετικά οι ευρωπαϊκοί θεσμοί, οι οργανώσεις για τα ανθρώπινα δικαιώματα, ιστοσελίδες και ιστολόγια σε όλο τον κόσμο. Αυτό που ζητάμε είναι ίσα δικαιώματα για όλους. Τίποτα παραπάνω, τίποτα λιγότερο.
Αυτή τη φορά δεν θα μείνουμε σιωπηλοί. Αυτή τη φορά δεν θα κάτσουμε με σταυρωμένα χέρια.
GREEK BLOGGERS AGAINST DISCRIMINATION
In Greece gays, lesbians and transexuals know about discrimination. They face it daily from their families, in their social lives and in the professional field.
But sometimes, all it takes is a single straw to break the camel’s back.
According to press reports, the greek government is preparing to introduce a domestic partnership “contract” EXCLUSIVELY for unmarried heterosexual couples. We do not believe that a mere “contract” can resolve the issues same-sex couples face or ensure their fair treatment under the law. However this discriminatory proposal is a direct contravention of the Greek Constitution, as well as European human rights treaties. Especially since same-sex couples already enjoy legal rights in 18 European nations.
The aim of this intervention is to make sure that European institutions, human rights organisations, websites and weblogs from around the world learn about these proposals. What we ask for is equal rights for all. Nothing more and nothing less.
This time around we will not sit idly by. This time around we will not keep silent.

You are right, every voice is valuable. I am very happy to see so much activism amongst Greek bloggers around this issue (and also the bloggers rights issue) and very pleased to be a part of it.

I’m with ya on this one DD. Until we can do away with discrimination based on sexual preferences, how can we deal with other forms of racism and discrimination?
If you check the blog right now, I have posted a list of international media, organisations and websites that we have already informed of our initiative and more are on the way. We have also sent it to the Ministry and all the deputies in the european parliament. We will do all that we can to make our voices heard, no matter what the outcome.

If anyone can be so kind as to provide us with the URLs or e-mail adresses of websites and blogs mainly from Europe but also from around the world that deal with gay-rights or anti-discrimination issues and might be interested in helping us with coverage abroad, we would be more than grateful. Also is there any organisation that might help us with a mailing campaign targeting the Ministry of Justice?
As you know as Internet campaigns go, this one was pretty succesful, as we have enrolled 220 blogs already. However the mainstream media is still ignoring us. Pressure from abroad can be vital to our effort.

Υπουργείο Εξωτερικών. Λογάριασαν χωρίς τον ξενοδόχο επίδοξοι Πρέσβεις εκ Προσωπικοτήτων, Πρέσβεις επί τιμή, γηραλέοι συνταξιούχοι Πρέσβεις τους οποίους επαναδιορίζει στο ΥΠΕΞ η Ντόρα Μπακογιάννη, εν είδει χαρεμιού, σύμφωνα με διατάξεις που υπήρχαν στον Οργανισμό του Υπουργείου Εξωτερικών και επαυξήθηκαν στο πολλαπλάσιο με το άσχετο νόμο 3712/2008. Στην ιστοσελίδα http://www.equal-rights-greece.com ετοιμάζεται η καταγγελία στην Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή (ταυτόχρονα σε Βρυξέλλες και Αθήνα, Λ. Βασιλίσσης Σοφίας) για μαζική παραβίαση εκ μέρους του Υπουργείου Εξωτερικών της κοινοτικής οδηγίας 2000/78/ΕΚ που απαγορεύει διακρίσεις λόγω ηλικίας κλπ στην απασχόληση και εργασία.
Σημειώνεται ότι το Υπουργείο Εξωτερικών, εν μέσω οικονομικής κρίσης, και ενώ κάνει μύριες όσες διακρίσεις στα όρια υποχρεωτικής εξόδου από την εργασία λόγω ορίου ηλικίας (για άλλους στο 60 έτος που τους έδιωξαν και αμέσως μετά κατάργησαν τη διάταξη, στους διπλωματικούς μέχρι το 65ο και σε άλλους στο 67ο), τώρα φέρνει από τα γηροκομεία υπέργηρους συνταξιούχους Πρέσβεις 80 χρονών, για να τους ταϊζει με χρυσά κουτάλια από τα λεφτά του ελληνικού λαού.
Στην προσφυγή, στην οποία επιτρέπεται και η τήρηση της εχεμύθειας ως προς το όνομα του καταγγέλλοντος, αφού θα κυνηγηθεί από την Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή το κράτος που παραβιάζει το κοινοτικό δίκαιο και πέσει «καμπάνα» και παραπομπή στο Ευρωπαϊκό Δικαστήριο (ενώ θα χάσουν τον ύπνο τους οι επαναδιοριζόμενοι μετά τη συνταξιοδότησή τους Πρέσβεις), έχουν δηλώσει συμμετοχή και υπάλληλοι τόσο του διπλωματικού κλάδου και λοιπών κλάδων του Υπουργείου Εξωτερικών και απλοί πολίτες που φυσικά και έχουν «έννομο συμφέρον» για να κάνουν την καταγγελία.
