I’ve really enjoyed DD Live for a long time now and look forward to Thursdays to see who might turn up. I especially love the twists and turns of the conversations, the laughs and the silliness. In recent times, (it started when I was without a connection for two months) numbers have dropped off and interest seems to have waned. I might be wrong about the interest. It could be that the day and time is not suitable for most people.

There are a few die-hards and I really would like to continue regular chats with them whenever they can make it. Please don’t get me wrong people, I love our more intimate chats too.

My main question is, what can I do to build up our little chat community ?

Is the day and time convenient ?
Thursday is a good day for me but that is not necessarily set in stone. Fridays and weekends are not good for most people because we do like to go out sometimes ! I realise that the time is a bit late for people in Greece especially on a school night (!) but I really want to include people in different time zones. I can’t make it perfect for everyone but I am open to suggestions.

Do people want an email reminder every Thursday ?
I will work harder on this if people want it. I will set up a DD live mailing list and try and automate this as much as possible. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Do you want to have a more focussed discussion ?
I enjoy the freewheeling nature of DD live but perhaps some people would like a focus or a starting point for discussion that can progress or branch off into whatever we want to talk about

Is the chatroom user-friendly ?
I have had numerous problems finding a decent password protected chatroom. Those of you who have followed the whole saga know the changes and mix-ups. I have gone back to Chatzy because I can’t find anything better. And although it’s not perfect, it feels more friendly, cozy and like me.

Are there people you would like to invite to join us ?
You can do that but please only invite people you know and trust !
