Greek Bloggers Speak Out

Diagoras has posted the press release from DIGITALRIGHTS and freebloggers which covers the recent furore about the press.gr blog and proposed changes in the law on anonymous blogging. It includes a long list of bloggers who are posting the release on their blogs. The press release is in Greek but I will post the English version if and when it is translated.

If you have the translation or are doing one, could you send it to me via email. Thank you

UPDATE: Rodia has an updated list of Greek bloggers who have posted the press release. If anyone has the time and talent to translate it (so we can push it out to the non-greek speaking blog world), please send a copy my way. Thanks.

I’m out of the country at the moment, in China, which is also known for a lack of freedom about blogging. I haven’t been online too much, so I’ve not been able to follow the whole story. I’ll also republish any English translation of the press release though if one becomes available.

Although lots of business laptop action going on. I have found the great firewall of China less fearsome than I thought.
