and yeah, in general, there does seem to be a certain law of diminishing returns wrt size of blog/# of commenters. dunno exactly where that hits–I suspect it varies–but I do know that there’s a reason I tend to avoid most of the Big Important Blogs. especially the very top echelon, where you get thousands of comments like FRIST!ELEVEN and totally tangential discussions and “open threads.” might as well just go…well, anywhere, really.

Me too. I mean, I liked it much better when I was the only reader of my blog. But I guess blogs are not very different from people: once they grow up, they become less cute.

I haven’t seen you comment on my site since July, but I don’t take that personally even if I’ve seen you comment regularly in places we both frequent, and I still find time between two jobs and my own site to comment occasionally here. That’s life.

But I forget where I leave comments–I try to do those comment tracker things, but I forget to press the little thingy saying “monitor this conversation”–and next thing you know, i have left comments in twenty different places and only remember where I left about four or five of them.

I’m like a freaking squirrel or something–buring my little nuts all over the yard, and then spending the entire spring digging up the yard because I have no clue where I buried them to begin with.

I am struggling under a deluge of the “negatives” and the backlash that they were bound to bring following my latest post (and actions)

Again, this is not about disagreement. It is about derailment.

I’ve just been a rut for a while…i’ve kept up, but i’ve stopped writing.

one of these days, i think i’ll be back at my own place and comments elsewhere…i hope things work out here.
