Fixed Blog
Published by deviousdiva January 3rd, 2008 in Blogging.I have been away from this blog involuntarily for about ten days now. You might have been wondering why, as I usually post to explain a long absence. Well, the thing is, my blog broke and I didn’t know how to fix it. Suddenly, I had no access to the dashboard so I couldn’t post or moderate comments or fiddle about behind the scenes. I worked a frightening amount of hours to try and solve the problem with no success at all. Last night, the very wonderful Thin Black Duke aka Kevin at Slant Truth “sat” with me for many hours and helped me through the whole scary process of smashing my blog to pieces and then rebuilding it. In the end, I managed to do more damage than good so the Duke waved his magic wand and my dashboard came back as if by… magic. I still have a lot of work to do back here so if my blog looks strange from time to time, don’t worry (I’ll do more than enough of that for everyone).
A sincerely heartfelt THANK YOU to you, Kevin. I really appreciate all the time and support you have given me.
Normal blogging will resume as soon as possible.
And a very happy New Year to you all.
Peace
DD

do you know why it broke in the first place?
Well, glad you’re back.
I know what it’s like to get locked out. It recently happened to me when my coffee temporarily destroyed my laptop and some files and whatnot. I’ve learned to backup more regularly and also to have other spaces to retreat to when necessary. So, for example, if I get locked out again, I will simply start blogging at one of my other blogs until I get mine fixed.
Anyway, glad you got things sorted out
Glad to be of help, DD. Anytime, my friend. Anytime.
And happy New Year to you and yours as well!
