False Numbers

The Athens news had an article last week explaining how the numbers are inflated to support politician’s agendas and also to obtain money to fight this current “problem”.
Efforts to estimate the number of illegal immigrants is tricky, not just in Greece. But some of the country’s leading immigration experts are critical of Greek politicians, who, they say, are quick to jump on “guesstimates” and attention-grabbing figures to support arguments that the country is being flooded by foreigners.
