Add one more thing to the total list of Greek Apathy. If it’s not right on their front door step, they just don’t care. No social conscience in Greece. That’s the sad truth.

I’ve been in Athens and I’ve seen the women. It touched me so much that I’ve been to a street next to Solomou street and talked with some women. Some of them also come from Sierra Leone. I remember one girl was telling me that she don’t had time for talking because she don’t needed that, she needed money. Others was telling me that they could not get a job in Athens. I took an Nigerian woman with me to a hotel called Lito/Lita??? There I talked with one woman because that was the only way to talk with her. It may be possible that she has done things that she did not wanted to do but other people made her do that and she was struggeling on that.

So sad and angry reading this, and again, grateful to you for writing about it and raising awareness. These women’s specific experiences in Athens mirror the experiences of trafficked women everywhere - I long for the day the cops go after the johns and the pimps.
