That is why you never see a Greek blowing his/her top when trying to achieve even the smallest of task with the public sector due to the fact that they just screw up each and every time.

I finally managed to get a BT guy to come and fix it... and then the talktalk nightmare began ! instead of the advertised 2 week activation period, it took about 2 months and endless negotiations with incredibly patient people in india (I am still amazed by outsourcing ! the world is too small these days)...and to top it all up when the first bill came we had been billed for the "free" 30 day trial period as well! I probably shouldn't complain though, since after the whole thing worked it never broke down. a friend with an orange connection is offline every couple of days for a few hours! you just hang in there diva, and we'll all be around when you're properly back... ahhh…

(The most difficult part is always to find out where that signal belongs to.) Otherwise maybe ask around and go to a friends place for a couple of hours instead of to the 'net cafe. Good luck!
