On and Off

I wonder if anyone remembers me ?
Two weeks is a lifetime in blogland.

Well, I’m back even if it’s not daily. The glorious and much-praised telephone company here (OTE) which basically owns your body, mind and soul, has now told us (after two weeks waiting already), that the earliest appointment for a technician to come to our house is…in another two weeks. After that it depends how moody the technician is as to how long we wait after that. That’s just for the transferring our line to our new house 100metres from our old one. The internet connection is another story that’s so long and boring that I can’t be bothered to relate it.

We went down there today to complain, explaining how the love of my life depends on the internet to make a living (we didn’t mention my blogging for fear of spontaneous combustion) The woman behind the desk moaned at us in a very nauseating and high-pitched way about how it wasn’t her problem and what did we expect her to do and how we were being silly to expect an employee of the telephone company to DO anything about the appalling service, woeful lack of information and the rude and unhelpful way we have been treated. The love of my life (who has put his back out in the move and is in terrible pain) stood up and gave her a mouthful, to which she kept saying “What do you expect me to do?”

Have some respect, manners, courtesy and human emotion perhaps?

Both of us are totally exhausted from carrying our last 13 years together from the old house to the new. The new place is great. It really feels like home already. Now we need a holiday to recover…

I will be blogging on and off from today. I am at my local wifi hotspot with 50 hours paid for. That should last a while…

I’ve missed you all and I’m very glad to be back even in a very haphazard way.
