i am finally home, reunited with the love of my life, after two weeks in Britain with my family. For the first time, I managed to spend time with my parents, all three of my sisters and my 14 nieces and nephews during the same trip. I think I also tackled my fear of flying and almost enjoyed the flight home. It’s been a frenzy of family, traveling, talking, laughing and crying. A deeply emotional time for many reasons. I feel the waves of sadness that saying goodbye brings but I am also overjoyed to be home.

I have come back to a mountain of emails, an ocean of spam and a complete disconnect with the world of blogging. But I also came back with over 500 photographs, a new teapot and a whole lot of love. The love of my life has been working too hard as always but he met me at the airport looking more wonderful and delicious than ever. I am once again stunned into realising how lucky I am to have this man in my life.

The kid had an amazing time. He has changed again over the last month and is now hurtling down the path towards adolescence. He is now the proud owner of his very first deodorant ! The cheddar cheese feet are nauseating but it’s a part of the deal, right ?

I haven’t forgotten that I owe you all a post on my “Two Years of Blogging”. I will write that up and post it sometime soon. I am not even going to attempt to catch up on all the blog posts/articles I have missed. I will just ease myself back into it all from today. I am very happy to be back.I have missed all of your writing and comments over the past two weeks.

DD live will be up and running tomorrow so perhaps we can all catch up then ?

It’s hot here !

I’m off to unpack, do some washing, get some shopping in, cool down etc. Hope to see some of you tomorrow in the chatroom.
