LOL Kevin, don't worry I'll still talk to you even though I'm super-famous now ;-)

You are one of the people that has helped me so much through this blogging lark. I never forget who my friends are.

Hey Flubberwinkle, the article is on its way. Congratulations.

Hi bint, thank you as always for your kind words and support. I have to say the article was a much-needed pat on the back. Not just blog-wise but just feeling like I am doing something worthwhile in life. That can be difficult to hold on to when society mostly measures your worth by what job you do or how much money you earn. Stay-at-home Mums are valued mostly in the idea of it, not in reality. The fact that we are resourceful and full of ideas and creative and interesting seems to get lost along the way.

I really believe that it is the most challenging and valuable jobs there is. Certainly it is for me.

Wow! Well, finally someone else realizes how brilliant you are! Congratulations. I know they certainly aren't the only ones who think that your blog is top notch. :)

Oh my! [blushing]
I guess I just got my 15 minutes' worth of publicity, eh?
====================

DD, if it's not too much trouble, please e-mail me the article, flubberwinkle AT yahoo.com.
I'm very curious to see what they wrote about the Greek bloggers as well.

This is another big change! A few years ago, the whole operation was in Athens (I had a friend who worked there), with only an advertising and customer service division consisting of one woman in New York, whom I met when I worked at the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese. According to their site, which apparently hasn't been updated since November/December ("current issue"), the main office has switched to Washington DC and when you 'subscribe,' everything is in US dollars.

Believe it's published in the US, but the editor is based in Athens. Over the last couple of years, the quality has increased. I don't know how long Diane Shugart has been the editor, but I think she's done a good job. Art Dimopoulos is the publisher, and he's in Washington, DC. Once when I had a problem with a gift subscription, I contacted him directly, and he was very helpful.

I'm not sure where it's published but it's on sale here and in the States (Also I think, in Britain and Australia) so we're REALLY famous!

Melusina, Odyssey has been around for ages! The design/layout is a bit awkward and the content can sometimes be interesting, sometimes not. They keep changing ownership and staff, which makes their issues sometimes hard to find or not circulated at the times specified. I've tried subscribing twice to avoid missing an issue, and I've not received a single thing. So there you go! :) Cheers!

That is pretty cool! Although I admit I've not heard of Odyssey magazine, I'm behind on all the cool publications these days - I haven't read a magazine other than Time in forever.

Cool. Great to see you getting recognition off-line as well, DD. Maybe we need to get ourselves an agent and start shopping round for a big, fat publishing deal, lol.

Who do you want to play you in the Hollywood adaptation?

Hi again DD,

Just wanted to let you know I found you (and Kassandra) through betabug (Sascha). Since tuning it that once, I check back more often to enjoy your edgy awareness on equality, justice and women's issues...it's such a welcome change from mindless fluff. Keep up the great work!
