It only takes a couple of minutes and once you are done, it should show up on all Gravatar-enabled sites (when it’s not being grumpy). I think they are adorable and they certainly add a little attitude/personality to your comments.

How strange! Did you attach to to the email address you use here? Maybe the server is down again or maybe it takes a while to show up! I’ll check…

I have been onto Tom Werner who runs Gravatar and I got a couple of responses from him. We were beginning to think that it was a huge scam from the beginning to make money, but I don’t think so now. I think he bit off more than he could chew and doesn’t have the server back-up to run such a popular service. I paid for the thing (very cheap but still…) I will keep it for now and hope that the problems get sorted out in the near future.
Perhaps your avatar will magically appear at some point. I hope so. Thanks for the link. There are obviously a lot of us waiting…
By the way, how long ago did you sign-up? If it was more than a week ago, try re-associating your email with your picture. Worth a try!

Nope…I have the Gravatar logo as an avatar. Back to the drawing board…
