It is good to remind us DD, that Alex's story could be anyone's - and it is still unsolved. It might remain that way - because of myriad reasons - but I hope that his mother does get some peace and closure. A gift would be finding him alive, but I am afraid I lack so much faith.

First, what's your problem with Dalaras and the U.N.? I think that they are both quite useful. Secondly, what does DD have to do with the Cyprus issue, and what makes you think that the Cypriots are short in cash? I think that we are going to be begging at them quite soon. Third, I am currently in the process of going to Miami and embarking to a ship where I am gathering money for myself - since I am single so far. Forth, I am doing a good job in my position, and I am not challenging the bureaucrats for their job. The farther that I am from them the better. Fifth, my address for the next 6 months is going to be M/V Century, Celebrity cruises. Come and get me! Sixth, DD is doing more than I do, she is raising a child. I think that's enough. Seventh, I shall announce my line of reasoning upon the Roma issue after I settle in my new position, and piece by piece because it is going to be a long story. I want to make long and solid points. It won't work without the assistance of the Greek government though.

See ya next week.

DD, nearly all 5 children allegedly involved in the alleged crime were from dissolved families. All were of foreign background except for two brothers whose parents were living in Germany because they couldn't find a job in their home town. Their families broke apart mostly because of financial problems. This is what I have been informed from the TV, and I merely hope that it is accurate.

I am not really feeling bad about anything, and you don't see to comprehend my reasoning. So, after I demonstrated the Socrates story, I just have to bring forward the reverse Socrates story, better known as the "blond jokes". Have you ever heard of them?

Yes they are sexist and offensive and much more. Did you ever wonder though, why do people target this specific group of people? Why aren't there any jokes for women with black hair, or black women? What irritates people to make jokes for blonds only?

The jokes reveal an ugly reality, that is not really exclusive to blondes or women only. It has to do with all of those people who rely on their appearance and their appearance ONLY in order to make a living. The stereotypical person who lives out of her appearance is a woman who dyes her hair blonde in order to be "sexier". Most of men are sexist, and they have taken notice how to make a fortune out of an "one night stand" or less.

Although the jokes are sexist, they have a hidden positive effect on their own. That is to force some people to use their brains in order to fend off the insults. It might be hurting, but nobody died out of insults so far. Quite the contrary, people who were forced to repel insults have developed a higher intelligence. For the most of time those people were the ugly, the short, the fat, the bald, the half foreigners like... Socrates.

So, if you keep up silencing all those who are criticizing you - not because of hatred, but in a desperate effort to force you to use your brain to respond to criticism, you and your following shall end up a shallow company of folks who are unable to do anything beyond "good wishing and hoping around". You'll never develop your thinking skills and you'll never devise ways of achieving your goals, because you don't even bother to put a hierarchy on your wish list.

In other words, you'll end up like the Greek educational system that forces so many children to memorize facts without to try to put a reasoning on them, without to try to develop their judgement. Without the ability to reason, and develop solutions all the information in the world is useless...

...So, now tell me, how could a Greek government solve the Roma problem quickly and effectively with little financial cost? Just an idea, do you actually have any ideas on the subject?

So, I believe that it is you who adds nothing to the discussion here, except for cold facts. I've never seen you suggesting a better solution, only ways of forcing others to do their duty, and you won't get anything from those who never cared about their duties in the first place, like the Greek bureaucrats.

Let's see what Dalaras shall achieve. He has been fighting for other issues for years, like the Cyprus issue, but I didn't see any improvment because of him either. At least he gathers some funds for his cause, something better than you've done so far. maybe you should try to copy him and seek to gather funds for the most important issues you fight for...

Petros Houhoulis, It seems now ( and for quite a while) that whatever I write, you take exception too.

Unemployment rates, crime rates and foreigners? That old gem. This case has nothing to do with unemployment. This is a child we are talking about... and his classmates. Not statistics or media crime reports. Just a child who is still missing. And a mother who is waiting for him to come home.

I am sad that we liberals and lefties are not as effective as the "right wing fellas" (in your eyes) but at least you must agree an opposition should be in place ?

What I wrote about the internet search was accurate (at least yesterday it was) but I agree the internet is fickle.

And this is where I think we must part company PH. I cannot keep spending time answering your claims about my irrelevence and my nonsense.

You are adding nothing to the discussion here (on the story of a small child who is still missing ) or on any other story if you really think about it. No other facts or information. Just a willingness to railroad anything I put out there on this blog ?

I am sure you will take this badly and feel hard done by but...

I think it's for the best

Keep hoping, but it won't lead anywhere at all. Just a reminder: This was not the first crime that went undetected by the local authorities. The murder of a girl by her boyfriend was solved by the reinforcements that were sent from the Thessalonika police department.

Don't rush to blame the local police force as incompetent either:
Veroia has an unemployment rate of around 50%, you can only guess where the crime rate is...

...And it is only a matter of time before yet another chilling crime, under those conditions. BTW, the right wing fellas are SOARING in all of Macedonia just because of high unemployment rates. Xenophobia peaks in those areas. Somebody is much swifter and effective than you on the ground, where it really matters. A statistical observation of the type: "If you did a search for “alex meshivilli” yesterday, only my blog appeared." is just an irrelenant comment about the even more irrelevant virtual reality that the internet provides to all of us.
