Venezuela: Three shelters are not enough.
In 2005, there were approximately 2600 calls to an emergency helpline from women suffering violence in the family. As many thousands of women need urgent protection, it is clear that the three existing shelters cannot cope with the demands.
At times, the shelters even lack basic resources such as food, clothing and medicine.

I just finished my morning deleting session! This is one of those time zone problems. Most of the vile comments are coming out of the States and arrive when I am sleeping (hopefully).
