Human Rights Award

This years SEEMO (South East Europe Media Organisation) award for Human Rights and Mutual Cooperation has been won by Abdulhalim Dede. He has worked as a journalist for more than thirty years and is a member of the Turkish-Muslim minority living and working in Western Thrace, Greece. He is also a Human and Minority Rights activist. For two years now, Dede has published a monthly political periodical (Azinlikca) in Greek and Turkish

inspired by values such as human and minority rights, the reinforcement of Greek-Turkish friendship etc

The award will be presented on the 10th December which is International Human Rights Day.
