Anybody know what’s all this stuff about a pedophile ring being involved in Alex’s disappearance? I haven’t been following.

NET stated on 24/08/06, "For tthe first time after the case of Alex’s disappearance made the headlines, Public Order Minister Byron Polydoras did not rule out any sexual motives.  In his written statement, Polydoras argued that no specific charges have been pressed so far, yet police authorities are looking into every single testimony in a meticulous and professional fashion.  It was an article published by the magazine Politika Themata on 21 August that prompted Polydoras’ response.  The article strongly criticised the police officers’ inquiry.  Press sources in Veria claimed there are at least three pedarasty-related accusations, with one of them probably being linked to Alex’s disappearance.  The really lengthy file the preliminary investigation has yielded includes 350 depositions and 262 documents."  There was another pedophilic article I read but can’t seem to locate at the moment.  I also know the psychologist who was hired by Alex’s mother and was part of the dispute with the accuseds’ lawyers extremely well.   She is an opportunist who appears regularly on "The Jungle" on TV and is what I would term a ‘pseudo-psychologist’.  My heart goes out to the children and their hopeful parents who, under unimaginable duress, allow themselves to become targets for publicity hounds.  I have also worked with Shirin and believe in Peace Education; however, I don’t know whether Greece is ready to accept the "revolutionary" ideas and can embrace the techniques and the group’s mission, in practice.  In the news today, is a report about a 78 year old pensioner who was arrested for pedophilia.  The program for missing children is a wonderful idea; however, again, I ask if society will embrace its mission and include the ‘undesirable’ children.  They are only defenseless children, for heaven’s sake!  Innocent, beautiful children, some of whom have had to become adults at the age of 5 or 6, others whose minds have been poisoned by their guardians or parents, and still others who are innocents, innocuously living their childhood.
