YO DIVA…..if this is not your country (Hellas that is) then why are you so frustrated with it?! Why don’t you go try an stop your country (apparently the USA) from giving the green light to human rights abuses in Lebanon by Israel. I’m outraged that you prefer to write about the Gypsies instead. Are you really fighting for universal human rights, as all should be, or just selectivley striking against Hellas?   I’m really wondering because it seems inconsistent to on the one hand, complain complain complain about the alleged human rights abuses against the Roma…with your untrue implication that ethnic cleansing is underway as Hellas leads the humanitarian efforts in Lebanon….so…..spill it! What is your motive?

Bouboulina,1) Tsk, tsk… a greek heroine using YO! (How Brooklyn of you).2) Diva ain’t from the States (if you’d done your blog reasearch before you started ranting you’df find that lovely Ms.DD is what I call a "citizen of the world")… You, on the other hand, Bouboulina have given us plenty of clues that you are trapped somewhere between your-know-it-all-ego and your-know-it-all-ego.3) If you’d REALLY read the posts, and you really understood, you’d see that the posts regarding the Roma community do not have boundaries. And since we’re talking about the Roma in Greece, are you, Bouboulina, mighty Hellas savior and upholder of the sacred Hellas reputation,  so satisfied with their underpriveleged lives that there’s no need for any of us to stand up and ask the state and our fellow citizens to take notice?  And while we’re on the subject…
I’m outraged that you prefer to write about the Gypsies instead.
I didn’t know we had to check with you first before we posted on our PERSONAL blogs… and since you’re so democratic… where’s YOUR blog by the way? May we have the honor of reading your viewpoints? What? No blog? You can hash out ze boolsheet, but you can’t take it?Best regards,Flubberwinkle

Boubilina - I feel compelled to respond to your comment.  I think her frustration stems from a true desire to make a difference on the most basic, accessible level she  can.  I don’t believe she has expressed frustration with Ellada but with the situation she has encountered and a sincere belief that to expose her experiences to a greater population creates awareness,  awareness generates contemplation, contemplation nurtures motivation, and hopefully, action.  To imagine changing a condition of enormous porportions leads to inactivity.  However, to achieve something on the smallest level, one life at a time, is a step towards that end of making a difference.  It doesn’t matter what your country of birth is (kai afti, DD, then einai Amerikanida) or its politics - come on, at this point, every country has its major problems and leaves alot to be desired and a great amount of humanitarian aid to be provided  - each of us can do something to improve another human  being’s life.

Bouboulina, Please go and read this post before you go on.

Boubalina has been watching too much Greek News reports.  Apparently she doesn’t know that Hizbullah is to blame.  Hide your rockets in civilian areas?  Shoot your missiles from civilian areas into Israel?  What should Israel do?  Just sit back and take it on the chin?  It often amazes me how easily people get sucked in by the main stream media.   Of course, probably now you’ll make some crazy comment about how Jews are responsible for the world’s problem..  Trust me, I"ve heard it before so move on….
Great Site Diva, and sorry for offpost remark but Boubounalina started it…

Zardoz,
Please review UN Resolution 1559, and then I’ll politely debate you.
I was not aware of the difference in spelling of Bouboulina’s moniker.
Sorry for any misunderstanding Diva.  Great site as always!

zardoz says :

yes lets review the U.N resolutions …………

FOUR DEAD U.N. OBSERVERS ,,

With all due respect Zardoz, you’ve fallen hook, line and sinker for the "main stream media’s" bait. Why on Earth (what strategic value) would Israel have for deliberately attacking a UN outpost.
Again, I politely ask you to review UN Resolution 1559 so you’ll have a more informed, less emotional response.
Oh, by the way did you watch/listen to Mr. Bush and Mr. Blair’s press conference last night on CNN. If you did, you would know more specifically the dynamics of this conflict and what needs to be done to solve it.
This will be my last post if you persist with your Jingoistic retorts but if you would like to discuss it calmly I’d would enjoy discussing it with you.
Respectfully,
AJ
P.S. If Miss Diva allows us that is. :)

Seeing as this discussion has started on this post, I will let it continue. Please be civil to each other. Disagreement is one thing. Insults is something else. For my two pence worth: Criticising Israel for its actions is not the same as being anti-Semitic or blaming Jews for all the worlds problems. This present war has been waiting to happen for years. It seems to me that both sides (and the other players) were just waiting for an excuse. All are wrong. Killing civilians is wrong. It’s wrong regardless of who is doing it.

so what youre telling me ajew is
the same thing that retired general don sheperd u.s. air force
on friday remarked that the IDF screwed up ..?

im going on 50 and the IDF has never screwed up ,, never.

in its 58 year old history,…………THE LAST SCREW UP

THE JEWISH people did militarily was MASADA ,, and that out of

religious jeal.some thousand years ago.

Everything with the IDF is coldly planned militariry and executed

so the plan is different now ,, wheres all that rich oil and natural gas

and stuff gonna go from afganistan to aizerbhaistan and kirkouk

gona go to ,,? of course to a safe harbor militarily

which is the meditterenean ,,turks on top ,, the candid egyptians

on the bottom ,, the new greeks without cohones in the aegean

VERY SAFE ……………………

SO THE IDF MADE A WHOLE NEW COUNTRY ,for its customer
the united states of the bushbinladen families

LEBANON-ONE OF THE 60 -70 UNITED STATES

GYESS WHAT ? THE IDF IS WORKING FOR CHENEY AND COMPANY

SO THEIR BIG CORPORATIONS CAN KEEP ON EARNING ,,

AND SOME OF THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES

CAN GO ON WITH THEIR ACCOMODATING LIFESTYLE

AND KEEP ON VOTING IN PUPPETS IN PRESIDENCYS

WHO CARES THE PLANET IS GOING TO HELL

WHO CARES IF WE KILL 100000 LEBANESE AND THROW

THE REST OF EM OUT OF THEIR COUNTRY ,

and have 500,000 REFUGEES …………………..,ITS DOLLARS BABY

ALL THIS JUST BECAUSE HEZBOLLAH has 500 katioushas rockets

which can be pinpointed militarily at any time and destroyed,,

are you seriously joking ajew………….please

and if you seriously want me to read the U.N. resolution ….

well guess what the same countries that voted this one

are the exact same with which voted the 1948 un resolution

granting the foundation of the state of israel

which means it was bought and paid for then (the state of israel)

as it is now…….to votees of todays un resolution

THIS SITUATION IS THE SAME AS THE ROMA ,
THEY WERE HERE IN GREECE
AS THE AMERICAN INDIANS
THEY WERE IN AMERICA FIRST
AS THE 300 OR SO COLORED PEOPLE
OF SOUTH AFRICA ,, BEFORE THE BOERS,DUTCH, ENGLISH AND SUCH

SO WERE ARABIC PEOPLE OF ALL DENOMINATIONS IN PALESTINE

AND THEN THE ZIONISTS BROUGHT THE LAND

AND MOVED THE LOCAL POPULACE ,,,THIS IS WRONG .DEAD WRONG

if you cant find another way,,

you know ajew if i knew were you lived

id come and buy out the mayor ,, the town coucil , the police
the courts and i take over your lands and house ,,,

and then id like
to see if you wouldnt take an axe after my head .

stop twisting history , wer still have a memory

even if hollywood and american television is brainwashing us silly.

…………………………ZARDOZ……………………………………

Sorry ms DD BUT I WAS CIVIL ,THANK YOU FOR PUTTING UP WITH ME

,, GYESS WHO ITS FOR.?

With all the weaponry donated by their lap dogs, the United States, the Zionist regime is really struggling against Hiz’bollah.
Fortunately, there are some palikaria left in this world.
