Silent Protest
Published by deviousdiva July 10th, 2006 in Personal. This must be one of the saddest things I've seen during the whole tragedy of Alex Meschisvili . His mother, Natela, is holding a silent protest outside the houses of the children who allegedly murdered him. The hand-written sign that she holds, reads
Where is my only son? Break the silence
The pain and grief is etched on her face as she asks the people of Veria to come forward with whatever information they might have. She is alone. I cannot imagine what she must be going through, knowing that someone knows what happened to her boy and is not saying. Not bringing an end to the questions and speculation. Not allowing her the chance to say goodbye to her child. I also cannot imagine the pain and grief of burying a child, but this is unbearable.
