Anti-Racist Festival

The 11th Anti-Racism Festival will be taking place this weekend in Protomagia Square, (Pedion tou Areos) in Athens. There will be music, dance, discussions, screenings, exhibitions and food from around the world. New Model Army will be playing on Saturday and Socrates Malamas will perform on Sunday. Go along and enjoy the atmosphere.

    Thank you for that, Zardoz. You inspired me to look up some poetry and I found this gem by 16 year old Amy Maddox.

    Empathy

    He prayed — it wasn’t my religion.

    He ate — it wasn’t what I ate.

    He spoke — it wasn’t my language.

    He dressed — it wasn’t what I wore.

    He took my hand — it wasn’t the color of mine.

    But when he laughed — it was how I laughed,
