Afro-Caribbean Festival

A festival of Afro-Caribbean music, with live music by De Traces, Afro Lab Percussions, Afro Vibe and others, a bazaar, African delicacies and more, will take place at the Police Academy Park near the Katehaki metro station from 8 p.m. over the weekend. Proceeds will go to the creation of a kindergarten for African children.

I believe that this is not a helpful way to go about discussing multiculturalism. I understand your disgust and your desire to find ways of confronting bigotry but I don’t believe violence is acceptable. In action or in words. They come after us with violence and fighting talk but what do we gain from doing the same? As you see from the reply above this one, people are desperate to make us out to be foolish or wrong, to critisise multiculturalism and say that we are the violent ones.
Let’s discuss the issues instead of turning this into a street fight ?
I’m sorry, but I think this is the wrong point of view…we have to fight because the Cops are all fascist pigs….these scum fascists have the whole of society on their side…and will not LISTEN. They brand those who are progressive as traitors. Every summer when I come to Greece, I see how the Greeks treat the Africans etc….the look at them like they are not adults, but children. I listen in disgust to relatives that cannot appreciate the virtues of multiculturalism…and that site ticked me off because they only focus on teh crimes that immigrants do commit…..but they obviously are not thinking of the opportunities that Greece is providing them….the opportunity for a better life. This is being taken away by the bigots and it is high time that we take away the bigots rights to a better life. I’m not calling for an armed revolution, for gods sake NO! I just agree with the protestors that attack police and bigot organizations and htink their armed struggle should continue against those that are seeking to subvert the multicultural utopia. You cannot be peaceful against those that do not believe in peace, but do believe in violent racism. All Greeks are not bad…just the few bigots. I would like to heap praise on this blog!!! I had almost lost all hope till I stumbled upon it.
