Spell Check

I’ve added a useful little tool for everyone to use when they comment. Spell check! I am not dissing anyone by doing this. I wanted it for myself mainly, to cut out the need for another text application to check for me because my spelling is truly appalling. Oh, and you can bold things, add italics, underline bits, and add links with one click. The emotions are a bit sad but occasionally useful to give the tone of a comment. Very occasionally.
UPDATE: I know that this works in Firefox but it seems not in Safari. Anyway, get Firefox . Everybody else is. Let me know if you are having problems or can even see it in Internet Explorer.

This is a test to see what works and what doesn't.

    Bold italic and underline

Internet Explorer and Firefox are fine with the new add-ins. Opera 8.53, on the other hand, doesn’t show the format bar (b, i, u, smileys).
(I’m a geek I know, just filling you in on browser conflicts).

Smart move posting the comment rules where they are visible to one and all. :-)

Thanks for being a geek Flubberwinkle. Geeks are good. Oh well, the plugin is not absolutely essential, so I won't worry that some people can't see it. It's just a nice little new toy for those of us that can! Ha Ha

I have serious problems using this site with this plugin enabled from Firefox from my home computer, which is running Mandrake Linux 10.  I can make at most one post before the special posting box fails.

Mandos, Well for that, I am really sorry. What can I do? I know nothing about Mandrake Linux? Can you help ?

Hey Deviousdiva - If I haven’t said it before, your site looks great. I’ve been thinking about adding a similar plugin to my blog. It recently occurred to me that not everyone has the patience or know how to type out html code, and so it would be nice to offer formating options like you have for my comments. So, what plugin is this? Then again, I’m still trying to figure out why my comments text area appears at the bottom of the page rather than after the last posted comment. Talk about infuriating. Maybe I should wait before I add more to figure out.

Aaah! A spellcheck feature! Handy for those of us who are pedantic about our blaming semantics.  (love the smilies too).

The problem with some of these plugins is that they are not widely tested and they often have unforseen side-effects.  On a completely different blog, it may work perfectly with my home platform. This is very likely the last post I’ll write here today :)
