Welcome John Savva and thank you for commenting. It is a complicated situation over here. There are laws and structures in place but bureaucracy is such that the process is slow to say the least. It seems to me that much of the goings on here (and elsewhere) are more for show than because of a real committment to the issues.

We UK have the Human Rights Act which is a law for people not in breach of human rights (but it is only for ECHR), but not UN Or other conventions like you stated above. You have to remember that in Greece, when the few benefit the many are ignored. Take ASEP and car imports for example. Both illegal under European law. Both very much profitable for a few in Greece, hence taxpayers foot the bill/penalty from EU. K.
