Video footage of plain clothes policemen arresting and beating two men in Cyprus, has been obtained by Amnesty and they are calling for steps to be taken prevent this happening again. Many complaints have been brought against the police for brutality but this latest case with evidence captured by the passerby seems to have spurred some action.

Amnesty International calls on the Cypriot authorities to end impunity for police ill-treatment and to ensure that all complaints of police brutality are promptly, thoroughly, impartially and independently investigated and that those responsible are duly punished.
